2018 Season Drives $11.8MM in Contracts and Launches SW Region

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — April 19, 2018 – Fatbeam, a provider of fiber-based wide area networks, today announced new E-rate contracts within its current operating region along with two new states, Nevada and Arizona. This marks the eighth year the company has successfully expanded its territory by contracting with school districts to deliver broadband fiber optic networks. As part of its business model, Fatbeam then makes further investments in fiber optic broadband deployment in the local business community, which often stimulates the economy and helps drive economic development in smaller, often rural markets.

“We’re thrilled to take our first steps into the Southwest region to work with school districts in Arizona and the Silver State of Nevada,” said Fatbeam CEO Gregory Green. "Our venture into these markets is a great testament to Tammy Lange, our VP of Sales, and her team.”

Earlier this month, the company shared its successes in a meeting with FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn in her Washington, DC, offices.

“Ms. Clyburn has been a great advocate of the FCC E-rate program, which finances connectivity for schools and libraries and has been proven to be a cost-effective solution in the current environment of tight educational budgets,” said Green. “We are so grateful that she could take time with myself and other Fatbeam executives to hear about the continued successes that the E-rate program delivers for communities in need of broadband.”
