Greg Green Foundation Give’s Scholarship in Honor of Local Softball Player Toni Edinger - Fatbeam

Nationally respected telecom visionary, millionaire, founder and CEO of Fatbeam, Gregory Green, is giving back to his beloved community.

Coeur d’Alene, ID – August 12, 2019 – Green, a resident of Coeur d’Alene who grew up in the area, moved back a few years ago to build his last company, Fatbeam, with the mission to create high paying tech jobs in the community.

Via Mr. Green’s Foundation, he has established a scholarship in the name of Toni Edinger, former girlfriend, and childhood friend and family, for North Idaho College students. The Edinger family are long-time citizens of the Coeur d’Alene community, an avid softball, and sports enthusiasts. Toni Edinger played competitive softball on a national level as a youth and was accomplished as an athlete and student in the classroom. Her father and two uncles umpired in community softball leagues for many years, and her uncle, Ron Edinger, was a long-term councilman for the City of Coeur d’Alene. “Greg is a good man, and we are very happy that he has created this scholarship in Toni’s name,” said Dick Edinger, Toni’s father.

“North Idaho College is a valued institution of the Coeur d’Alene community and we are honored when Coeur d’Alene residents extend their support for the betterment of our students,” said NIC Athletics Director Al Williams.  “Mr. Green’s contribution is sincerely appreciated and will go to the needs of a worthy cause-student education!”

The Greg Green Foundation/ Toni Edinger scholarship will be awarded to NIC students based on academic achievement and community service accomplishments. The scholarship recipients will help promote community pride in the college’s educational programs.

Applicants interested in consideration of the Greg Green Foundation / Toni Edinger scholarship must submit a cover letter with a personal resume and include a 500-word (or less) essay on the importance of community service in local regions. Applicants should submit their material to North Idaho College- Post Hall, 1000 W. Garden Avenue, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.
