Position Summary

The position of the FTTH Field Technician would be to install, support and repair services for our aerial/underground network construction and network maintenance work wireless equipment for Fatbeam's infrastructure and overall customer base. This position will report to our Field Services Manager and the position would be based out of our Boise Idaho office.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service; internally and externally
  • Communicate effectively both internally and externally with customers, vendors and other parties as required
  • Make qualified decisions that will provide the best customer experience considering fiduciary responsibility to the company
  • Install, diagnose, and maintain all wireless systems to ensure that the system is functioning per Fatbeam standards
  • Provision wireless services and measure signal strength of all connections to ensure appropriate performance
  • Perform inspections as required to validate performance
  • Familiarity with tools and applications required
  • Installation and troubleshooting of Cat5, Cat6 and fiber optic cable on customer premise, at Fatbeam aggregation sites and at tower sites
  • Operate a vehicle in a safe manner
  • Follow all Fatbeam filed procedures and protocols
  • Share information across the organization through documented process and/or more informal modes of communication
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules

Education/Certifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume work environment
  • Be willing to travel
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
  • Must be able to work overtime and on call as needed
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent verbal, written, phone, and interpersonal skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Lift and carry up to 70 lbs

Additional information

Fatbeam requires a background check and the acceptance of basic non-compete documents for all employees. The background check takes 3-5 days. This offer would be pending upon the results of the background check. We will also need to confirm that your driving record will not prohibit us from adding you to our insurance policy for company vehicles.
