Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) Account Executive to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building relationships, and driving sales of services or products to multi-dwelling unit (MDU) properties, including apartment buildings, condominiums, and townhome communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the MDU market and a proven track record in sales and customer relationship management. This position will reside in one of Fatbeams larger markets (Boise or Coeur d’Alene area), however they will work remote from their home office, and will travel to potential customer locations. This position will report to our VP of Sales.

Position Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development:

  • Prospect and generate leads for new MDU properties, including apartment complexes, condominiums, and multi-family housing developments.
  • Identify and target key decision-makers within MDU property management, owners, and developers.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to the needs of MDU communities.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals for services/products with MDU stakeholders.

Account Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with MDU property owners, managers, and other key contacts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction, addressing concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Follow up with the client’s post-sale to ensure seamless implementation and customer satisfaction.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive products, and MDU-specific needs to adapt sales strategies.
  • Gather insights on market conditions, pricing trends, and customer preferences to improve sales tactics.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure smooth execution of services and deliveries.
  • Collaborate with installation and technical support teams to meet the needs of MDU clients and resolve any issues that may arise during or after installation.

Sales Targets and Reporting:

  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and account progress in appropriate software.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in the multi-dwelling unit (MDU) market, telecommunications, utilities, or similar industries.
  • Proven track record of meetings or exceeding sales quotas.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with property managers, owners, and developers.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, with the ability to learn new software that is applicable to the job.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel within a designated geographic region to meet clients.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on client schedules.
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.

Additional information

Fatbeam requires a background check and the acceptance of basic non-compete documents for all employees. The background check takes 3-5 days. This offer would be pending upon the results of the background check. We will also need to confirm that your driving record will not prohibit us from adding you to our insurance policy for company vehicles. Lastly, to protect our intellectual property, confidential information, and client relationships, it is our policy to require that employees execute an Employee Conduct Agreement governing these matters.
