Position Summary
The NOC Engineer will work at our network operations center. They must have the ability to diagnose and resolve network issues, maintain our network infrastructure, and collaborate with our network team to enhance our network's performance. To ensure success as a NOC Engineer, you should demonstrate a solid knowledge of network infrastructure and experience in a similar role. A top-notch NOC Engineer will be someone whose expertise results in a stable, fast, and secure network environment. NOC Engineers work out of our Bosie Idaho office and report to the NOC Manager. This positions shift will be the night shift and will work a 3/day,12-hour rotation (subject to change per coverage needs).
Position Responsibilities
- Monitoring and alerting of network when events happen
- Create tickets and work tickets in CRM for events
- Collaborating with the Network Engineering team on the development and maintenance of network infrastructure
- Providing technical end-user support, performing troubleshooting, and resolving network issues
- Running diagnostic tests on the communication between computers, routers, modems, and servers
- Installing, configuring, and updating networking accessories for end-users
- Training junior NOC staff and providing on-site field technicians with remote technical support
- Enhancing network security, as well as documenting network processes, repairs, and cabling layouts
- Keeping informed of advancements in network infrastructure and technologies
- Provide best in class customer service to end users
Experience/Minimum Requirements
- Certified Cisco, CompTIA, or Microsoft network professional preferred
- A minimum of two years' experience as a NOC technician, or similar
- Advanced knowledge of network technologies, connectivity, protocols, and security
- Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
- Great interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work rotating schedule
- This position will cover our night shift

Additional information
Fatbeam requires a background check and the acceptance of a basic non-compete documents for all employees. The background check takes 3-5 days. This offer would be pending upon the results of the background check. We will also need to confirm that your driving record will not prohibit us from adding you to our insurance policy for company vehicles.
