Position Summary

The SLED Account Manager position will be responsible for selling Fatbeam products & services to the Public Sector organizations across various western states that Fatbeam operates in. This is a field position and will be in a Hybrid environment working in our Seattle, WA or Portland, Oregon areas. Travel is required to visit various public sector prospects (cities, municipalities, counties, state government, higher education, K12, libraries). This position will report to the Director of Public Sector.

Position Responsibilities

  • Build market position by working new and existing Fatbeam markets, developing long term partnerships and understanding the Fatbeam value proposition
  • Keep abreast of current technology trends within public organizations
  • 2-4 years of experience in either the telecommunications industry or technology driven sales
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota targets and revenue generation
  • Self-starter with proven hunter mentality who is self-disciplined focused on new sale opportunities across Fatbeam product portfolio
  • Manage relationships with government agencies and public institutions
  • Identify, contact, and build relationships with prospective customers
  • Prospective customers include any public sector account across Fatbeam geographic footprint
  • Leverage the CRM system (salesforce) to develop prospecting and sales strategy that ensures high activity and effective closing ratios
  • Design customized, cost-effective solutions for the client
  • Manage a territory using technology, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Keep CRM up to date
  • Maintain open and effective lines of communication throughout the organization to maintain a sense of teamwork, enthusiasm, pride, and quality workmanship
  • Share competitive analysis with sales and marketing teams
  • Understand public sector procurement at all government levels in various western states
  • Ability to learn & familiarize yourself with the Federal E-Rate program & how K-12 & libraries leverage technology solutions

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Broad experience in sales and marketing, preferably in telecommunications
  • Ability to communicate professionally internally and externally
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Technical aptitude and strong computer skills
  • Solid work ethic and good organization skills
  • Must be creative and passionate about problem solving
  • This is a full-time, salaried position: 40 Hours per week
  • 50% travel necessary (possibly more during the high season months)

Additional Information

Fatbeam requires a background check, the background check takes 3-5 days. This offer would be pending upon the results of the background check. We will also need to confirm that your driving record will not prohibit us from adding you to our insurance policy for company vehicles.
